About Us. 

 

We believe your puppy search is as much about the dogs as it is knowing about the people who raise them. 

​

My wife (Callan) and I (Austin) have owned Diamond R Kennels since 2017 after purchasing it from the Rothing Family in Belgrade. After moving twice with 10+ dogs, we have found our permanent home in Ennis, Montana. We are focused on continuing the legacy of quality American Labradors that Peter and Tanya Rothing started back in 1982.

I grew up in nearby Belgrade, Montana, and am passionate about hunting dogs and bird hunting. I have been a fishing & hunting guide since 2012 and am a licensed Outfitter.  Between training my dogs, or guiding, I am plenty busy outdoors with the dogs in the Madison Valley.  I graduated with a Bachelor's in Animal Science with an emphasis in Animal Reproduction from Montana State University.

Callan was raised in Helena, Montana along with 3 chocolate Diamond R Labs since the 1990s and has since raised several more Diamond R pups from birth. She enjoys her time with the started puppies and ensuring the older dogs get enough exercise & playtime each day. Callan graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor's in Business Marketing and double minors in Spanish Language and International Business.

Our main goal of Diamond R Kennels is to get you the right Labrador puppy and to provide the best tools and ideas to raise your dog and be the best owner you can be. We believe in buying not only great Labradors, but also buying from people you trust.  

 

We hope to make you part of the #DiamondRFamily for life... sending a second or fifth Diamond R pup home with a family is just as awesome as the first!
